Rudbeckia 'Indian Summer'
After 20 plus years of growing and landscaping in the High Country of North Carolina I know many annuals will grow here. However, we've concentrated our efforts on those that do the best. Below is a short list of those we offer as transplants. In addition I've listed those we grow on the farm as cut flowers and a few more worthy of starting for yourself at home.

Cosmos
Cosmos is a classic cut flower and very easily grown. We usually offer a tall (4') variety and the shorter 'Sonata' with the New collection 'Dancing Petticoats' as transplants in the spring. With our shorter summers it's nice to jump start the season with a transplant.
Flowers- transplants:
• Sweet Pea
• Rudbeckia Indian Summer
• Rudbeckia Tiger Eye
• Cosmos White, pink Mixed
Vegetables Transplants for 2010:
• Basil: Italian large leaf and Mammoth
• Cucumber: Cool Breeze, Homemade Pickles, Marketmore 76, Straight 8, Diva
• Parsley Curly leaf and Flat leaf
• Pepper: Purple Beauty, Heirloom Ashe County Pimento, Carmen, Sweet Chocolate Pepper
• Gourmet mix lettuce
• Tomato: Juliet, Japanese Black Trifele, Chianti Rose (judged the best tasting over Brandywine), Sungold, Supersweet 100, Cuor Di Bue (Italian oxheart), and 'Black Cherry'
