Shady Grove Gardens cultivates 4 acres of perennials, annuals and shrubs to offer you the widest selection possible. All are maintained using organic methods and sprays.

- Our minimum order is $50, which is one mixed bucket or several bouquets. (Please bring your own bucket or pay a deposit for ours)
- You may order ahead and pick these up at the nursery in Zionville, NC or arrange delivery to the Wednesday Farmers' Market in Boone, NC.
- Flowers are cut and ready for sale every Friday afternoon at the Nursery. On Friday afternoon only, you can pick from our total assortment of our un-promised flowers.
- The Watauga Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings is the most convenient choice for many people. Look for the Shady Grove Gardens sign. See you there.

If you would like to know what we will have a given week, just e-mail for a list or view the short version on our wedding flower page.
Generally, our flower cutting season runs from Late April until November. The greatest selection is available July-September.
Don't forget our Orange or Red Winterberry Holly for your Holiday decorations.
If you are thinking of getting buckets they are mixed of what looks best. Otherwise, you can buy the flowers by the bunch usually 10's or 20's. The large woody plants like Lilac, Viburnum and Hydrangea are by the stem ~$1.00-3.00.

Love Lies Bleeding

Soft Pinks and Blues in milk glass urn early July
Starting in 2005 will no longer be doing pick-your own flowers at our Zionville nursery site.
Please read the following for reasons and other options:
- We believe we offer a high quality choice in flowers. We don't believe this is possible in many cases with the pick you own flowers. For example, flowers must be picked either very early morning or very late evening. This does not fit most people's schedule.
- We use complicated post-harvest techniques to insure your quality. Many flower varieties are treated differently.
- We now have 2 locations. With the flowers spread out over 2 counties it is better for us, to pick for you and have a scheduled pickup or delivery.
- This will also insure all pre-ordered flowers are delivered as promised. Anyone can pre-order flowers, but this also includes our wedding designs, florist, and wedding parties.
- We encourage everyone to schedule an appointment early, 1 or 2 weeks before the event, to see the flowers and place an order. This can also be done at the Watauga Co. Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings. Come early to see the full selection of flowers.
- Those of you that are planning farther ahead can make an appointment to see photos of most all the flowers available in a given week.
- The full selection of Cutflowers can often be seen Friday afternoon at the nursery. Please call ahead so we can set aside promised flowers.
- Cut Flowers can still be purchased by the mixed bucketful $45 of what looks best or by standard florist bunches. Prices are the same for everyone. Farm direct purchases are not required to collect sales tax in NC. Another reason to buy from us
